Day 61
Narrative
Day 61 began when midnight passed during the party’s escape-road camp after Lost Vein. The party was travelling with stolen or commandeered wagons, rescued elven husks, and Colonel Bilgewater Windle the 7th as driver, heading earthwise toward the mountains and the dwarf city associated with Lady Envy’s weapon production.
The party recalculated the Tri-moon timing. At the start of day 61, the table said the event might be in another three days, perhaps when they reached the destination or the night after. This remained uncertain because Belburn had indicated six days until the Tri-moon on day 59, which would imply about four days remaining at the start of day 61.
The unconscious elven husks remained restrained, blindfolded, and kept away from magic or armour because the party feared they might devour or consume magic if awakened. Watches were set with automatons and party members.
Around 9 AM after the rest, a wagon came from the direction of the dwarven city. It was pulled by two lizards and driven by a dwarf with a kobold passenger. The dwarf asked about rumours of “a bit of a riot in Lost Vein.” Colonel Bilgewater Windle blurted that “the wasp are going crazy” and that “they found some of that blood,” confirming that news of Noxia blood, wasp frenzy, and the uprising was already spreading. The dwarf said his wagon had left a few days earlier when things were normal. He said “the forges are running” and that he had hoped to be put on forge duty instead of wagon duty.
The road traffic raised questions. The dwarf had seen a few carts a couple of days earlier but none yesterday, even though the party had seen carts leave. Wagons may have been delayed, diverted, or lost. The party also inferred possible rebels in the hills, but this was not clearly established.
The party continued the journey. The start of the next transcript confirmed a prior sleep and long rest, then began the second travel day from Lost Vein toward the mountains. The road ran into low hills that became larger mountain foothills. The terrain was open badlands, then increasingly rocky. The road climbed gradually and then more steeply. The second travel day was largely uneventful.
Geldrin or another reader continued reading and transcribing from the new spellbook in the wagon. Colonel Bilgewater Windle continued to demand meat: “He wants meat, meat, a side of meat.” After some table confusion over how many days had been driven, the DM clarified that day two of travel had been narrated, called for another long rest, and began day three, explicitly marking day 62.

Clues, Mysteries, and Open Threads
Lost Vein’s riot is spreading by rumour. The forges at the mountain site are running. The exact Tri-moon countdown remains uncertain. Missing or diverted wagons may indicate trouble on the road or action by rebels, Envy’s forces, or something else. The party is still approaching the mountain city under fragile convoy cover.
