Everchard
Summary
Everchard is a swampy orchard town of roughly three thousand people, known for fruit trees, cider breweries, woodland tours, and the Cider Inn Cider. It was the setting of the campaign’s first major memory-tampering crisis: worms or maggots altered residents’ memories while pigs, livestock, cats, rats, militia, and homeless people disappeared or were transformed. The Hostel, nominally built for homeless people, became one of the operation’s holding and alteration sites, with links to anti-tax funding, the Twins’ abductions, and Carnamancy. The operation was later connected to the Twins, children of The Mother, Betrayer working with Garadule; killing the worms restored memories, and surviving victims were returned for healing. Everchard remains linked to unresolved teleport-circle and memory anomalies around Morgana’s hut.

Known Details
- The town has roughly three thousand people, fruit trees, orchards, cider breweries, woodland tours, light and dark woods, and a larger central manor house.
- One orchard bloomed in winter, with dark bark, blue leaves, deep red fruit, and oversized bees.
- Early locations included Cider Inn Cider, Thornhollows Farm, the jail, the Hostel, the sheriff’s office, the Earl’s manor, and nearby swamp. The Hostel was a civic project for homeless people whose funding and use became entangled with the abduction operation; the militia house and hostel-like jail descriptions may or may not refer to the same building.
- User clarification says the leak in Limusvita’s prison caused frogs and moths around Everchard to grow unusually large.
- The town suffered missing pigs, sheep, cats, rats, militia, homeless people, and altered townsfolk.
- Maggots/worms were the specific source of the Everchard memory alteration, and killing them restored the affected memories.
- The Twins, The Mother, Betrayer’s children working with Garadule, ran the abduction and Carnomancy operation behind the memory crisis.
- The transformed townsfolk who could be saved were transported back to Everchard in wagons and taken to Brother Fracture for healing.
- After memories returned, the Earl disappeared, the sheriff took over, and public announcements framed the Earl as villainous and ousted.
- On Day 51, Morgana knew an odd teleport circle in an Everchard wood with bees, apples, snow, furs, rugs, and bird poo; the location is known because the party went from there to Morgana’s hut in Everchard. Geldrin and Morgana had uncertain memories of making or placing the circle.
- Morgana’s hut is also in Everchard; the party reached it at midnight after using the odd Everchard teleport circle.
- On Day 42, a half-elf at Castle Bleakstorm was said to be originally from Everchard; this was previously transcribed as Everdard.
