Summary

On Day 51, diplomacy with Verdigrim led into the rescue of Brutor Ruby Eye from a huge underground dwarven city. Ruby Eye’s imprisonment was justified by ancient charges—174,312 merfolk babies murdered, entrapment of elemental spirits, construction of a tower, and the downfall of an ancient race—but the record preserves these as allegations rather than confirmed truth. After Umberous negotiated a future favour in exchange for hiding Ruby Eye from Infestus, a void elemental was released during Pride’s death. Ruby Eye’s failed return teleport then carried the party into a dwarven prison possibly belonging to Throngore, where they found clues about Valentinhide’s lost part and Ruby Eye disappeared after his eyes glowed red; the same crisis also finally confirmed Eliana as a Hartwall.
