Pride

Summary

Pride is a manifestation of one of the emotions removed from the elves, formerly encountered as a dark entity connected to The Guilt, Grand Towers, and the prison systems. It wanted people to feel proud and was involved in attempts to repair or disable prisons, but its actions repeatedly threatened the Barrier. Garadule ate Pride during the Grand Towers crisis; a later Pride manifestation teleported through an underground dwarven city and was killed or absorbed when a released void elemental consumed its brother. Pride’s final status and relationship to The Guilt remain uncertain.

Known Details

• Pride was expected to fix a prison but may have opened it instead.
• The Guilt was identified as an Avatar of Pride, but The Guilt is also one of Ennui’s removed emotions and remains a standalone entity.
• Day 36 says Pride had been eaten by Garadule, was a dark entity who wanted people to be proud, and tried to disable as much as possible before being consumed.
• On Day 51, Pride teleported away in the underground dwarven city after the party saw Grand Towers elves leaving defeated and in pride; the party later killed Pride, releasing a void elemental that absorbed its brother and may also have absorbed Pride.
