Summary

Lady Evalina Hartwall, also known as Mama Hartwall, is a dragon-form mage and one of the five creators of the Dome / Barrier. She is Eliana and Lady Kalissa Hartwall’s mother with Icefang, Argentum’s wife, and a member of the old wizard group whose work involved the Barrier, Hannah Joy, Icefang, Envy, and the blue ball. Evalina appears to have resisted the group’s later direction and may have discovered Everard Browning’s true intentions before being removed from the project. Wrath, Removed Elven Emotion entombed her in silver-dragon form beneath Belburn, where she was later used as one of Envy’s enforcers.

  • Day 24 identifies the Human Hartwall in the dining-room painting as Evalina Hartwall in human form.
  • Day 24 identifies the Dragon - Hartwall figure in the desert-laboratory statue as Evalina Hartwall in dragon form.
  • The Dome / Barrier was created by Everard Browning, Ennui, Brutor Ruby Eye, Valenth Cardonal, and Lady Evalina Hartwall.
  • Day 36 Grand Towers orb visions show Hartwall among the old wizard group during the divine bargain work. In one vision, Hartwall asked if they were nearly ready to kill them off; Hartwall turned into a dragon, then Browning activated the device and she disappeared.

  • Day 36 records Wrath, Removed Elven Emotion saying he had cursed the silver and black dragons so they could not take human form, that it was his fault Hartwall was outside, and that he put Hartwall in the ground using Imprisonment and a silver dragon statue.

  • Day 58 clarifies that Wrath, Removed Elven Emotion had entombed Lady Evalina Hartwall, and the party identified her imprisonment as the burial form of Imprisonment using a silver dragon figurine or statuette as the spell component.
