Summary

Infestus is a black dragon and the leader of the mercenary Black Scales, known by titles including “bane of multitude” and “slayer of Ruby Eye.” His operations use black dragonborn agents, acid, storms, insects, portals, and secret archways, and place him in direct conflict with Brutor Ruby Eye and the Barrier’s prison network. He was formerly married to Peridita; Lortesh, Nelkish, and Umberous are named as his sons, while Galimma / the Peridot Queen and Willowispa are his daughters with Peridita. Infestus’s broader aims remain uncertain, but they include the movement of Garadule, pressure on cities near the Ice Prison, and possible dealings with the party under the Black Scales’ strict secrecy and truth-based rules.
