Summary

Days 59–63 follow the party from Belburn through Lostvein’s Noxia-tainted mine crisis and onto the road toward Hammerguard. Refugees, mine workers, and a kobold uprising exposed Envy’s extraction network, which sent jade and other ore to mountain forges building her army. The party found Noxia blood that could transform kobolds into wasp creatures, killed the Noxia Countess, rescued two emotionless elven husks, and escaped in a stolen convoy with Colonel Bilgewater. The journey then brought a fiendish courier, rival wasp-queen politics, a silvery-blue dragon ambush in the snowy mountains, and an earth guardian’s warning that Envy controlled Hammerguard and was building a jade-linked bridge.

Timeline

  • day-59: The party explores Belburn, hires lizards, learns more about Envy’s tithes, helps a kobold refugee family, and sees an armoured wagon headed toward Belburn.
  • day-60: The party infiltrates Lostvein, discovers Noxia blood, kills the Countess/Countessor Noxia, rescues two elven husks, and escapes during a kobold uprising.
  • day-61: Rumours of the Lostvein riot spread while the party travels with Colonel Bilgewater Windle the 7th toward the running mountain forges.
  • day-62: The party travels through the Great Tunnel, kills a succubus-like courier, captures an armoured wagon, hears of a shipped-away New Queen, and learns from an earth guardian that Envy controls Hammerguard and is building a jade-linked bridge.
  • day-63: A silvery-blue dragon ambushes the party’s kodo-drawn convoy on the snowy road; the party reaches a hidden Hammerguard resistance settlement.

Key Revelations

  • Noxia blood in Lostvein can mutate kobolds into wasp creatures.
  • Noxia’s servants include counts or countesses and possibly rival queens; another count wanted the newly found blood, and an Old Queen shipped away a New Queen.
  • Envy’s Lostvein operation sends ore, jade, and other materials to dwarven forges for an army after a failed attack on another dwarven city or Dwarven Fortress.
  • The elven husks may be “truest” elves who lost emotions and can serve as vessels, making them relevant to the Grand Towers and Browning.
  • Hammerguard still exists, but its remaining dwarves are not in control; Envy is directing jade construction and a new bridge.

Open Questions

  • Where exactly is Envy during the Lostvein and Hammerguard crisis, and how directly is she controlling the forges, jade construction, and new bridge?
  • What will the new jade bridge be used for, and can it be destroyed safely?
  • What happens if the elven husks recover or are used as vessels?
  • What is the copper snake man’s role at Lostvein? This needs source check.
  • What caused the invisible dark elf to disintegrate after entering the party wagon?
  • What lies beyond the tunnel at the Day 63 frontier? The dead-dwarf lead needs source check before integration.

Verified Status Notes

  • The party’s intended strategic sequence is Envy, then Wrath/Ruby Eye, then Mama Hartwall.
  • Belburn’s tithe system remains active while Envy is active.
  • The armoured wagon heading toward Belburn is resolved as the new wasp queen.
  • The Noxia Old Queen / Countess is dead, and the New Queen is on route.
  • User verification from an incomplete later day says the succubus-like courier worked for Envy; the courier’s exact mission remains pending source integration.
